A proprietary cap for new Theo Wanne mouthpieces, designed and manufactured by Theo, to protect the mouthpiece with reed on.

“We know this has been a long time coming…but we wanted to do it right. A lot of love went into its design, so that even if you drop the mouthpiece, it won’t damage the mouthpiece tip!” – Theo Wanne

Use the Reed Keeper™ cap when you wish to leave the reed on the mouthpiece, such as when you are on stage, or during practice sessions. The Reed Keeper™ Cap will STILL protect the mouthpiece tip, even when dropped!”

If you look closely, you will see this is not an ordinary cap, a lot of thought went into it. We have two sizes available.

  • Small Size: For Alto and Soprano:
    • Fits current slim-body hard-rubber Theo Wanne™  mouthpieces with the Enlightened Ligature, and metal mouthpieces with the Liberty Ligature.  Will not fit NY Bros, Lakshmi, Brahma, or other Large Body alto mouthpieces. Will not fit Water, Earth, or Fire mouthpieces with the standard Elements ligature.
  • Large Size: For Tenor and Baritone:
    • Fits current slim-body hard-rubber Theo Wanne™  mouthpieces with the Enlightened Ligature, and metal mouthpieces with the Liberty Ligature.  Will not fit Slant Sig, Lakshmi, or other Large Body tenor & baritone mouthpieces.

The video of Changing pressure plate is very useful. I wish I saw it when I bought TW mouthpiece 2 years ago. I wish that there will be a video for how to place a mouthpiece pad. I cannot place it inside the pad hole perfectly.

The Gaya metal 8 is my favorite mouthpiece, easy to blow, the sound of this mouthpiece is fantastic, definitely the best mouthpiece on the planet.

The only thing I love more than a Theo Wanne mouthpiece is working with Theo's incredible team. There customer service and attention to detail is unmatched in the modern mouthpiece game. My only complaint is that I didn't start playing their mouthpieces sooner.

I have played a Durga 4 HR 8 Alto for several years and have been very pleased with the sound. But... I was reading Theo's comments on the Durga 5 HR. "It does everything that the 4 does only better". Hmm.... I thought I should try it and because of the trial period I knew I could return it. I am so pleased to say that Theo was 100% correct. I am so pleased with the Durga 5 HR 8. It really does everything better. Thank you Theo.

After a few months of play, I'm happy with this. It plays with little resistance, it's easy to play in tune, and it adapts to a wide range of lesson material. (I'm re-beginning sax after years off, so my embouchure is starting over.) I have a #4 opening and consider it my primary, all-rounder mouthpiece. I had an issue with the brass collar slipping off. I queried TW about it and got an immediate reply. They said they're now gluing them in place and they offered to reattach the ring for me. Or, I could do it with a few drops of Goop. I did it myself and no regrets. Works flawlessly. Thanks..!

The best saxophone mouthpieces in the world. Never had a bad experience with them. I had a few alto mouthpieces and now new tenor Durga and Ambika mouthpiece. Amazing sound :)

I played on the otto link, and was looking for a better mouthpiece, because I didn’t like the otto link for its rough sound.. I studied a lot of information, and I had a choice of theo wanne or jody jazz, and of course I bought theo wanne Ambika3 7* because theo wanne took care of details that bring more comfort to the musician, I mean the silicone pad is recessed and does not cause discomfort, the ligature is always in the right position, etc., Ambika3 is my mouthpiece for everyday playing... I liked everything about it... very much warm and soft sound. It sounds great throughout the entire range of the saxophone, especially at the lower end. I've been playing Ambika3 for 2 years, and I'm increasingly convinced that the right choice was made... now I already have Brahama7* and Gaia4 7 from Theo Wanne. All of them is amazing....

Die Mundstücke von Theo Wanne öffnen mir ein Tor in die musikalische Freiheit. Ich freue mich jeden Tag.
